Season 2 seems very promising…

GRAPHIC SEX GRAPHIC SEX GRAPHIC SEEEEEEEEEEEX!!!!!
That better mean a lot of tongue action or so help me…..!

more shirtless May and Coulson!! (please, Peggy Carter, goddess of SHIELD), and some SKIMMONS!! (heck, FitzWard, SkyeWard, TripSkye, Simlet…. some hacker-biospecialist threesomes? I don’t need to watch the sex, they can just all be in bed together afterwards, undressed and eating junk food

They’re going to need a later time slot. And possibly move to Europe or Japan.

I think in the UK after the ‘watershed’ (which I think is 9pm) you can show pretty much anything.

The whole watershed thing makes me laugh, because people still watch something at 9pm and complain that it was too violent/too much sex/too much language and it’s just like…hello? It is past the watershed, you know it is past the watershed, they give you warnings at the start if it is going to be violent/sexual… it’s tv, just deal with it.
On another note, I’ve known some series to have been given a later timeslot in the US so have been made more graphic, but then they have kept the early time in the UK, so episodes have ended up having loads of scenes cut out.
The AoS season 1 finale was highly edited in the UK when I watched it anyway…the whole Garrett rib scene was cut out and everything…

oooo was it? Dude who played the general (Glen Morshornen or something) was talking about it at a con. I’m naughty and watch the ‘US’ for reasons…

Yeah it was! I watched them all online as soon as they aired in the US too, but when they were shown here I watched them too, but yeah, the Garrett rib scene was cut out, as actually was most of that scene tbh…it went from Ward and Deathlok and Garrett walking in and talking to the general, and then it jumped straight to Quinn putting Gravitonium into his van.
I think some of Ward and May fighting was cut too which really annoyed me, and there was something else but I can’t remember now which part it was.
Stupid Channel 4

Stupid Channel 4 indeed! May and Ward fighting was pretty brutal (and excellent)

Marvel characters that need to meet part 4: The Ladies that run the show 1) Pepper Potts (Iron Man 1.2.3 and the avengers) 2) Maria Hill (The Avengers and AOS) 3) Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow 4) Melinda May aka the cavalry (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) 5) Lady Sif (Thor 1&2) 6) Agent Peggy Carter (Captain America). Whether it’s from the side lines or their leading the pack. These are the tough as nails boss ladies of marvel. They don’t take crap and they keep all the men around them in check.

Don’t worry, I will protect her. When no one notices me, only she notices my strengths. The only thing I can repay her with is to always keep my shoulder free for her.

Emily Vancamp as Sharon Carter in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”

Here’s an example of what we call a “soft no”. Sharon turns down Steve’s offer in a way that’s meant not to insult him but never actually uses the word “no”.

Steve clearly gets the message, though, and importantly offers to leave her alone. Sharon’s comment afterwards gives him an opportunity to try again later, but he doesn’t press and respects her rejection of his company even though it’s probably hurt his feelings a bit.

Just in case you ever wonder “What would Captain America do?”; there you go.

i also thought this was interesting because it reveals something about the subtleties of sharon’s job as an espionage agent, the particular social skills she needs. she has to keep steve close, so that she can keep an eye on and protect him, so when she unexpectedly comes into contact with him, she takes the opportunity to make friendly, just-this-side-of-flirtatious conversation. of course, regardless of whether she’d be interested in seeing him socially or romantically (and i don’t think the movie gives us any real clues as to whether she is or not; sharon’s not quite the cipher natasha is, but she has a pretty good poker face), she know that she can’t pursue it, because it would be a conflict of interest in terms of her job as a spy. and she deals with the situation with a great deal of finesse.

i thought it was pretty impressive on a number of levels.

Reblogging this again because it just makes me realize that this demonstrates Sharon choosing duty over love.
