Turns out the British public has more positive views of lgbt people than the British media would suggest. Cis lesbians are tied with cis bisexual for expressing the most supportive views on trans people
Article date: August 11, 2023
Some encouraging news.
Really glad they did this research - especially because YouGov is a credible, well-regarded, and fairly accurate pollster. They’re one of the most prominent polling organizations in the UK. So it’s not like just anyone is giving these numbers - you can have a fair amount of confidence in them.
Given British media and assholes online, I definitely would not have called that cis lesbians and cis bisexuals are tied for most supportive of trans people. Very, very nice to hear.

I had a thought while I was washing dishes (not yet finished) and now I’m making a poll about it bc this is the mental unhealth site, so I feel like this audience won’t make me feel too bad
As of Right Now, how long would you need to clean up your place enough that you would allow someone to come inside and look around?
None. I have no mess to clean
None. I have no shame
A few minutes
15-30 minutes
30-60 minutes
At least an hour
Several Hours
A Full Day
Several Days
No cop out option on this one. And it’s not about WHY you need that long. Serious mess or can’t move fast or hot weather or leg broken or adhd or depression fugue. Reason doesn’t matter. Only thing the poll wants is how long it would take.
Pushing myself non-stop? Probably a day. At a pace that doesn’t make me go batshit? A week and a couple trips out for organizational items.

Young people can go through menopause. Young people can have heart attacks. Young people can have strokes. Young people can go through all kinds of things you think only happens to older people and they don’t deserve to be invalidated or bullied just because you have never heard of it.
